Abby’s senior session took place late in the afternoon, where the sun was at a perfect angle for rim lighting…
She’s a natural at posing and didn’t mind trying out any of my kooky ideas for locations. These rocks are not all that comfortable to sit on, but boy the light sure was perfect – no flash required.
Warm temps, gorgeous light, lovely model with a great attitude — thanks for a fun shoot Abby and Jennifer. Will get all of your images to you in the next few weeks…
A quick preview from our session this morning. What a romantic shot – Josie’s creamy skin, feminine lace and sweet smile fits perfectly nestled amongst the blowing grasses…
I have a thing for hay bales. Conjures images of horses, pastures, fresh air – country living. You look so relaxed here.
So lovely Josie, your inner beauty is equal to the outer. Enjoy these for now, will have the rest of your pics ready in a few weeks…
Mark’s sweet boy has been letting him know there isn’t much time left…
He can’t speak, but his eyes tell us “I’m tired, so very tired…”
Just getting around is a struggle, stairs tough to navigate alone
They’ve been there for each other: snuggling on the couch; joyful, marathon walks; excited “welcome home!” greetings at the door; very vocal alerts upon visitors arriving and/or correct letters appearing on Wheel of Fortune…
Willie’s made lots of friends along the way…
But his Best Friend, Provider of All Good Things
Supersedes everyone else.
We will all miss you dear boy, but no one will miss you more than your Daddy. Watch over him and let him know you’re chasing squirrels, running free, happy, healthy… young again.
Thank you for always being so gentle, even when you felt like crap. Please watch over me. Don’t let me do anything too stupid. (A little stupid is inevitable). This photo is dedicated to the many, many family caregivers out there, especially the “sandwich generation” – those who have not only elderly parents to care for, but young kids and spouses and jobs… my heart goes out to you, stay strong, stay calm, take breaks, find help — when it feels like the suffering may never end, remember, it does, and then you can come unglued.
“Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there’s a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see.”
— Helen Keller
Caught Josie’s mom and oh! hey! a bit of her dad in the corner there, reflected in her eyes. This was shot today at the Blaine Sports Center field. Love those aviator shades! (click on image to enlarge)
This gorgeous couple posed for me, but it was fleeting, because boyfriend doesn’t care for cameras, especially strangers with cameras.
To be so gorgeous and yet so shy, seems a crime.
Here is brother of gorgeous guy – if possible, even more uncomfortable. Girlfriend relaxed as all get out – model material!
Ask anyone with ink what the story is behind their tat and you’re likely to learn a bit about who they are, how they think, what’s important to them.
Some tell the story more eloquently than others.
Kelli Ann grew up in the Philadelphia area, hence the letter “P.” South Street, many memories of South Street for her. She was an only child. When her ailing mother needed her, Kelli Ann brought her from Philly to Minneapolis, to care for her, to help her die, surrounded by love and gratitude. Her mother’s eyes are gazing at us from the top of the tat. Embedded in the letter P are Independence Hall, the (cracked) Liberty Bell, and a LOVE statue…
Years ago, Kelli Ann asked me about my motorcycle, when and where did I learn to ride. Not long after, she bought her own bike, got her license. This girl doesn’t just dream. She makes stuff happen. Now, with her own bike and the freedom to express her spirit, she honors her mother by flying down the road and she enjoys every tiny morsel life has to offer. She celebrates Independence.
It’s an honor to know her.

This exquisite long-haired Dachshund stole my heart Sunday night. If I had brought my purse, he would’ve ended up in it at the end of the evening. Florence, you are both blessed to have found each other!
What a wonderful life Hershel has with you and your family…
Okay, so, apparently it started with Elsie…
And may have progressed to this dude, a favorite, we were told..
And then….
Holy balls Batman!
A cornucopia of cow creamers!
Florence, thank you for the delicious vegan meal and for being such a gracious, laid-back hostess with the mostest. Thank you to husband David for preparing that delectable lasagna, yum! The salad with walnuts and apples will be replicated on this side of town fo’ sho, the wine, the sorbet, the coffee, all of it supreme, but best of all: the conversation and camaraderie.
PS: Florence, the dust in the cow cabinet is atrocious. Could hardly photograph thru the dust clouds. Do something about that, wouldjya?
